OMV operates around 1,800 filling stations in ten European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. - European Gas Market
- Commodity Trading, your working place will be directly on the trading floor
- Interaction and collaboration of trading, market analysis and advanced analytics & AI
- Analysis of gas fundamental data (gas demand, gas supply, gas capacity utilization, )
- Commodities Market Research
- Definition of best practice standards surrounding data (i.e., data modeling, database design, ETL design, job scheduling and monitoring, etc.Building data pipelines, standardizing, and cleaning data for the group
- Evaluation and improvement of existing quantitative models
- Visualization and reporting of data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats

What we are looking for
- You have strong programming skills with first experiences in coding in Python
- Scripting skills (Python or R) and knowledge of most popular machine learning libraries
- Having first experience with any of the following systems/tools is a plus: Jupyter, Docker
- Proficiency in Relational database engineering (Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL server )
- Design and implement stored procedures and views in MSSQL
- Energetic & enthusiastic about learning in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills
- You are fluent in English/German
- You are a currently enrolled student
- You hold a valid work permit for Austria
