The strategic buyer is managing a subset of the category according to agreed segments and is therefore co-responsible for all aspects of the segment. The Category Head stays ultimately responsible. The strategic buyer will support the other colleagues to ensure availability of material/services and to focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) cost reduction initiatives. The strategic buyer will also ensure sustainability of savings and perform category risk management to a high standard.

Main Responsibilities:

- Business partnering for Sales, Production, Quality, Supply Network and Technical departments
- Formulate and execute Doka wide Material Group Strategies that deliver uninterrupted supply at the lowest total cost by acquiring market knowledge, developing and executing strategic options, action plans and conducting major negotiations
- Identify internal Customer needs
- Investigate with the internal customer to lower the total cost of ownership of strategic commodities and comply with the Scope of Category Wood in general
- Manage spend data in the systems and SAP to ensure accuracy
- Contract Negotiations
- Communicate category strategy to relevant internal partners
- Record and communicate savings

**Qualifications**
- Graduate degree in the area of economics / wood and/or > 3 years job experience in the timber industry
- Fluent language skills in English (spoken and written), any other language advantageous
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Ability to represent the company externally with key stakeholders
- Willingness to travel about 20%

A salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience.

We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is 42.933,10 EUR according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry).
