**Sommelière/Sommelier at C.O.P.**:
C.O.P. means Collection of Produce and is the new project of Chef Elihay Berliner. It focuses on the high quality of its products and the people behind them. It is an attempt to connect the communities of the rural producers, wine makers and farmers with the growing creative community of Vienna. C.O.P. is about storytelling, where products are introduced and served with low intervention. Fresh products and sustainability are what drives us and together with our very passionate suppliers, We create a culinary art gallery. No complex cuisine and no ceremonial service - C.O.P. stands for instinctive, honest cooking - a new form of dining experience.
**For this experimental concept C.O.P, we are looking for a SOMMELIÈRE **(M/F/d) as of now for 30 h/w:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sommelier to join our restaurant team for this creative and proactive position (30 hours per week). As our Sommelier, you will play a pivotal role in curating an exceptional wine and beverage program, training our staff, ensuring smooth and efficient drink orders, and inventory management. You will also spearhead special wine events and collaborations, showcasing unique wines and winemakers to enhance the overall dining experience and strength the connection with our community. We are looking for someone with a forward-thinking approach to wine-making, who deeply understands the importance of responsible agriculture.

**Responsibilities**:
- Beverage Curation:
- Create and maintain an outstanding wine menu that complements our culinary vision and reflects the restaurant's identity.
- Develop an innovative and diverse drinks menu, including cocktails, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
- Continuously explore new wines and winemakers and find creative ways to empower them and highlight their work.
- Promote and advocate for responsible agriculture within the wine-making process, emphasizing organic, biodynamic, and sustainable practices.
- Staff Training:
- Conduct comprehensive wine and beverage training sessions for the restaurant staff to enhance their product knowledge and service skills.
- Foster a culture of excellence in beverage service, encouraging staff to confidently and passionately discuss beverages with guests.
- Beverage Service and Inventory Management:
- Oversee all aspects of beverage service, ensuring seamless and exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure optimal stock levels.
- Curating Special Wine Events and Collaborations:
- Organize and curate special wine events that enhance the overall dining experience and showcase unique wines and winemakers.
- create exciting wine collaborations with other Sommeliers winemakers/suppliers etc.
- Social Media Collaboration:
- Work closely with our social media team to tell compelling stories about our wines, winemakers, and their journey.
- Use social media platforms to share the behind-the-scenes aspects of our beverage program, engaging our audience and building brand loyalty.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of wines, spirits, and other beverages, with a passion for exploring and a strong personal vision.
- Experience as a Sommelier on a restaurant floor.
- Strong leadership and training skills to effectively educate and inspire the restaurant staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Forward-thinking approach to beverage curation, with an eye for innovation and creativity.
- Understanding of the principles of responsible agriculture and sustainable practices in wine-making.
- Certification from a recognized sommelier program is an advantage but not a strict requirement.
