The purpose of the Procure to Pay (P2P) Associate is to support and complete all tasks in accounts payable solutions and be part of the wider financial accounting team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Independent completion of all tasks in the area of accounts payable accounting according to SOP/work instructions/specifications/checklists.
- Factual review of incoming invoices and credit notes according to tax, credit, legal and compliance requirements.
- Timely and correct recording, accounting, posting and archiving of incoming invoices/credit notes with and without orders.
- Monitoring of electronic invoice/credit note workflows including clarification of deviations.
- Clarifying queries with specialist departments / purchasing / HCP&HCO / suppliers.
- Monitoring and maintaining the credit sub-ledgers in compliance with national and international accounting regulations (HGB, IAS/IFRS) and NAM (Novartis Accounting Manual).
- Independent implementation/implementation of internal and external changes by adapting existing processes, organization, technical equipment and software solutions
- Contact person for specialist departments and interface to other specialist areas.

**Role Requirements**
- Commercial training (HAK, HBLA, ), accounting training or comparable.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in accounts payable.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written German as well as good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Very good SAP knowledge (FI/MM).
- Knowledge of accounting according to HGB, tax and IAS/IFRS.
- Good knowledge of compliance and taxes.
- High service and customer orientation.
- Analytical understanding as well as proactive and independent striving for process improvements.
