**Job profile**:
- In this position you will have the opportunity to carry out high level research and to specialise in a particular field. You will hold your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration. During the first year of employment it is possible to conclude a 'qualification agreement' which is the core part of a University career position. If the terms of the qualification agreement are fullfilled it will lead to a continuous career at the University, resulting in the position of a Associate Professor and a permanent employment.Main Tasks:
- Independent research in Software Engineering, e.g. in the areas of continuous software engineering, software architecture,
software testing- Publications in recognized international venues
- Acquisition of external research funding
- High-quality teaching (in English and German) - in particular in the area of Software Engineering
- Supervision of students
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
The position should extend already existing competencies at the Department of Computer Science
Required Qualifications:
1. Doctoral degree in computer science or a related field;
2. Postdoctoral work experience after the dissertation/PhD;
3. Pertinent and independent scientific achievements beyond the dissertation/PhD thesis;
4. Research experience in and relevant contributions to the field of software engineering e.g. in the areas of continuous software
engineering, software architecture, software testing;
5. Very good command of methods and tools of large-scale software development;
6. Relevant publications in leading international, refereed conference proceedings and journals as well as presentations at
international conferences and workshops;
7. Research collaborations with international partners and/or industry;
8. Experience in the acquisition and implementation of externally funded research projects;
9. Experience in the (co-)supervision of Bachelor´s and Master´s theses is an advantage;
10. Didactic competence and proven experience in teaching is desirable
11. Pertinent experience in academic mobility during or after the PhD;
12. Proficiency (written and oral) in English and willingness to teach in German within two years after appointment
13. Social competencies, communication skills, and ability to work in teams.
