**Your future responsibilities**:
The advertised position is part of a **cooperation between Silicon Austria Lab (SAL) in Villach and the University for Continuing Education in Krems** (coordinated and supervised by** **Prof. Hubert Brückl**)**.

Your tasks include:

- Independent research and research assistance in the “Magnetic Encoder Systems” project
- Publishing research findings in international, peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Engaging in international research collaboration
- Pursuing and submitting a (cumulative) PhD thesis within three years

**Your profile**:

- University Master’s degree in the fields of physics or equivalent technical study
- Knowledge in Magnetism (e.g., lecture courses, work experience)
- Interest in both experiment and simulation
- Good English language skills (min. B2 level)

**In addition, the following criteria are desirable**:

- Previous work experience in academic research
- Programming skills, e.g., in Python
- Computational magnetism

**The offer**

**University for Continuing Education in Krems**
- gross per month on a full-time basis (classification as a scientific project staff member according to collective agreement of universities -49 VwGr. B1)
**SAL**
Part-time position as project assistant (**10 hours/week**) initially limited to 3 years with a minimum salary of EUR 2.681;
- gross per month on a full-time basis (classification as a scientific project assistant in C1 according to collective agreement for non-university research)
