To strengthen our high-performing research management team, we are recruiting a Life Sciences Project Manager (f/m/d) to be responsible for the implementation of recently awarded H2020 projects and for future acquisitions of new grants, where the CCRI is a key participant and / or coordinator. The projects concerned follow a long and established legacy in paediatric oncology, and aim at continuing to advance patients’ and survivors’ access to better healthcare across Europe and to implement new methods and technologies in paediatric oncology research.
The CCRI is involved in many research projects and since some are interconnected, the recruited Project Manager eventually might need to engage in additional tasks beyond the H2020 projects.
The recruited Project Manager is expected to work closely with the head of the Clinical Trial Unit for Studies & Statistics for Integrated Research & Projects (S2IRP), the head and deputy-head of the Research Management Office (RMO), to whom s/he should report on a regular basis.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Become familiar with the projects assigned to you and respective stakeholders
- Be responsible to efficiently implement and monitor the project tasks assigned to the CCRI under these projects
- Execute and implement the project tasks to deliver on time, but also prepare to mitigate possible work plan deviations
- Prepare periodic technical reports and drive the preparation of the financial reports
- Eventually, attend and/or organize meetings
- Be a contact point for the projects assigned to you
**Your profile**:
- Ideally you have an academic background in Life Sciences or in another related field. Experience in clinical oncology or in EU-funded projects is an advantage.
- You have sound experience in project management.
- You are familiar with monitoring the implementation of projects and reporting based on performance metrics.
- You are savvy on the use of MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with project management tools (SmartSheet, etc.) is an advantage
- You are an excellent communicator in English, able to prepare and deliver presentations (PowerPoint or other) of high-quality standards.
- You are proactive, able to run projects independently, carrying the responsibility for budget and timelines and you are an excellent team-player. We are seeking for a friendly collaborator with initiative, distinctive self-organizational talent, and high social competence.
- You should be able to start functions as soon as possible.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English (German is advantage).
