Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you want to become a Borealis trusted advisor in a global role?

Reporting to the Head of Group Tax, the Indirect Tax Manager is responsible to ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations and tax optimal structures and processes group-wide. This requires for example that the Indirect Tax Manager gives advice to the VAT compliance community in Borealis using his/her expert expertise, explores and proposes indirect tax-optimal structures to sales and logistics and that he/she structures, monitors and controls the indirect tax processes and financial flows.

**Functions/Key Results Expected**:

- Group-wide tax guidance and support in indirect tax matters to the VAT compliance community in Borealis and other departments who need indirect tax support (e.g. Sales, Logistics, A/P, )
- Project management covering the tax elements of Borealis projects (e.g. like the establishment of new warehouses, new markets, etc.)
- Group-wide support and guidance to VAT compliance community in Borealis in indirect tax audits
- Ensures processes, procedures and tools are in place to comply with applicable VAT and other indirect tax legislation (except for customs)
- Identification and management of indirect tax risks
- Monitoring relevant tax law developments in major jurisdictions

**About you**:

In addition to being educated to degree level, you will be able demonstrate a minimum 6 years of experience in tax management from either a large corporation or consultancy. You are intrigued with the idea of assuming the global responsibility for indirect tax and building robust processes and monitoring systems in Borealis. You shall have a strong knowledge of EU VAT and tax matters in an international context. A tax advisors certification or equivalent would be expected.
