Mapping Vehicle Operator

**ATTENTION ALL UBER, TAXI AND DELIVERY DRIVERS**

**Only applicants that have been selected for an interview will be contacted. We have a mínimal number of positions that are currently needed. There are no internship positions available. Relocation is not offered.**

**Mapping Operator Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the car is operational on a daily basis.
- Parking and securing assigned cars at the end of each day.
- Take out and put away the camera in its storage bag daily (including lunch breaks) if the equipment is removable.
- Ensuring the camera is kept safe and stored in accordance with the storage guidelines.
- Responsible for routine car maintenance i.e. oil change, tire rotation, etc.
- Sending data disks to the client, through designated platforms or services. **_Instructions to be provided during training._**:

- Will need to stay in daily communication with an Ops Lead who will be your primary day-to-day point of contact.
- Operate mapping vehicles with care and attention, abiding by all traffic and highway rules.
- Work effectively as part of a larger mapping team.
- Follow the rules and work missions as requested by the **_Project Manager_**.
- Complete daily checks on the vehicle and equipment and notify manager of any issues.
- Operate carefully especially with the regards to the equipment on the vehicle, such as knowledge of the height of the vehicle with the equipment, being mindful of low
- hanging objects such as trees.
- Protect the equipment and vehicle by always parking the vehicle securely.
- Follow security protocols and instructions from managers.
- Maintain confidentiality of the project and the data collected.
- Maintain required logs as set forth by the**_ Project Manager._**:

- Operate and monitor the sensor equipment on a daily basis in the mapping vehicle.
- Consideration to the equipment and functionality of it is mandatory.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to listen to managers and complete tasks efficiently.
- Basic Technical Familiarity with maps, phones and tablet computers.
- Be able to logically follow technical instructions.
- Good understanding of the posted country's road network.
- Be a good communicator and be able to complete reports for managers.
- **Strength to lift up to 6.5kg (~15lbs), plus bending and twisting**.
- Honest, open and transparent communication.

**Requirements**:

- **_MUST_** have a valid driver's license and are permitted to drive in the posted location
- **_MUST_** be 25 years of age or older (due to client's restrictions in order to insure a driver)**:

- **_MUST_**have a minimum of **5 years**of driving experience (including at least **1 year** driving in the posted county), and **2 years or more of professional driving** (i.e. Uber, Taxi, Delivery Driver, etc.)
- **_MUST_** have clean driving record
- **_MUST_**submit to and pass a Background check, this is a ZERO tolerance policy
- **_MUST LIVE IN POSTED CITY, THIS IS NOT A TRAVELING POSITION_**:

- **_MUST _**be able to reach the roof of the vehicle and vehicle mount assembly (able to use a short step ladder to access camera)
- **_MUST _**be able to**pass a 5 Panel Drug Screen or Oral Fluid Drug Screen as law permits
- **Be a legal citizen, Legal Residence Card, or a Working Visa with no restrictions (no Student Visas accepted)**:

- Have experience with android devices, **to include cell phones and tablets**, and should be technically savvy
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
- Enjoy driving, with flexibility of scheduling
- Have some level of expertise and aptitude in motor vehicle mechanics
- Have the ability to follow instructions and know when to run program issues up a chain of command rather than attempting to resolve issues independently
- Be able to work long hours in stressful environments
- **_Due to sensitivity of equipment and project, you must consent to random drug screening throughout entire project_**

**Desired Skills**:

- General car knowledge
- Familiarity and experience of vehicles with increased heights (ex. Trucks)
- Familiarity with GPS devices

**Further Information**:

- Height clearance for parking required is 7ft stowed and 9ft camera raised
- Vehicles are stored in a warehouse, but once you get assigned for collection, you will be taking the vehicle home each night. The vehicles cannot be parked in public areas after the shift's end.
