The Department of Government, a subunit of the Faculty of Social Sciences, offers committed students of political science the opportunity to work on a research project within the framework of the project "Why this abundance of constitutional law in Austria?". A longer-term cooperation of the students as well as their further qualification in the course of the scientific research process are aspired.

**Duration of employment**: 3 month/s

**Extent of Employment**: 8 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. C with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Support in research in the project "Why this abundance of constitutional law in Austria?" (PI: Univ.Prof. i.R. Dr. Wolfgang C. Müller) - Support in data collection - Support in the categorization of Austrian (constitutional) laws - Independent research in parliamentary minutes and media archives - Possibility of longer-term cooperation in the project if desired by both parties - Under certain conditions, the activity can be credited as an internship in the BA program

**Profile**:
Studies in political science (BA or MA level) with above-average grades - Very good knowledge of the Austrian parliament and the parliamentary legislative process - IT user skills - Very good German language skills - Ability to work in a team - Meticulous approach to work - Independent research skills

Interest in quantitative social science methods and working with statistical software is an advantage - Good knowledge of English is an advantage
