Project Manager Modularization

Doka, Division of the Umdasch Group, is very active in evaluating future opportunities in different segments - always related to the construction and industrial markets. One of these opportunities is entering the segment of “Modularization”. The project of evaluating this opportunity has started already and is now moving into the implementation phase. Therefore, we are looking for a dedicated Project Manager, able to take on the lead for this project to proceed towards the full evaluation and implementation.
As a Project Manager for Modularization you will be a significant contributor to establish Doka and the Umdasch Group in the field of precast & modularization which can develop into an important pillar of our growth strategy.
Your responsibility will be driving this future growth area of Modularization from conceptualization to go-to-market. This will include verifying the feasibility of the project, identifying potential partners in the market and defining a business plan. A successful implementation of the project will open multiple career-opportunities within the Umdasch Group.
**Responsibilities**:
Project management:
- Set-up of project organization & project team in alignment with project owner/steering committee
- Manage the project to deliver agreed project results within the defined scope, time and budget (e.g. develop/maintain project roadmap, define/distribute and monitor work packages, moderate team meetings, estimate resource requirements, develop project budgets and monitor project costs)
- Manage interdependencies with other internal business development projects
- Manage project communication to update steering committee/senior management on project status and prepare decisions
- Evaluate possible synergies within the Umdasch Group
Use Case & Business Model development:
- Perform market, customer and competitor analysis (e.g. via desk research and expert interviews)
- Manage/interact with third party service providers (e.g. external consultants, market research providers)
- Concretize potential modularization use cases and business models
- Coordinate functional experts regarding the development and testing of prototypes as well as development and execution of pilot projects with potential customers and collect critical insights
- Structure and document findings along the process and ensure know-how transfer within the team and company
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in relevant similar roles (e.g. technical/commercial project management, business development, consulting, preferably in/related to the construction industry)
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (civil or industrial), business administration or comparable
- Profound project management skills
- Strong analytical skills and effective problem structuring and solving capability
- Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Willing and able to learn new concepts, techniques and about new products
- Organized team player with strong leadership skills and excellent time management skills. Able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work interdisciplinary & intercultural
- Willingness to travel within Europe and North America
- Strategic and commercial acumen is an advantage (e.g. market-/customer-/competitor analysis, business model development)
- Technical knowledge in the construction industry (especially in the field of modularization) preferred
- Solid knowledge of U.S. and European construction market and trends is a plus

Compensation for this role is competitive and will commensurate with experience and qualifications. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is 40.830;
