**SENIOR METALLURGICAL PROCESS EXPERT STEELMAKING (F/M/*)**:
**WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES?**: Our Steelmaking Technology & Innovation department UP I&S CS TI is searching for a Senior Metallurgical Process Expert in Steelmaking & assigns following tasks:
- Main contact person for process metallurgy for integrated steelmaking
- Drive the transformation of steelmaking in regards of decarbonization with new process developments
- Interface to up-stream businesses such as direct reduction, blast furnace and downstream processes such as secondary metallurgy and casting
- Leading process expert for startup and commissioning of steelmaking plants including performance tests and training at customers (worldwide)
- Lead and execution of studies, process consulting and R&D projects
- Support project acquisition for carbon and/or stainless steelmaking projects with process design and definition of performance parameter in close cooperation with customer
- Support digitalization of steelmaking process with further development of advanced process models

**WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR THIS JOB?**:

- Technical background (University) in metallurgy, material science, chemistry or similar
- Professional experience for some years in steel plant operation or process commissioning for BOF, EAF steelmaking
- Comprehensive knowledge of integrated steelmaking processes, metallurgical calculations, operations and logistics from hot metal treatment, over primary steelmaking to secondary steelmaking.
- Good English skill required another foreign language is an advantage
- Willingness for traveling in average 25% of working time

**WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?**: The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 54.183,22 (G/00). This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience.
