**Your duties**:

- Analyzing video data of behavior tests in animal models by customizing established software packages (e.g., DeepLabCut)
- Classification of image features (e.g., microscopy or magnetic resonance images) using Convolutional Neuronal Networks (CNNs)
- Model the structure and function of a cell/tissue across scales on the basis of heterogeneous data (molecular data to phenotypic measurements)
- Structure/function correlations of proteins and their amino acid sequences
- Developing independent lines of research adjacent or within BioHealth research areas using methods of machine learning (desirable)
- Teaching within the BioHealth-related curricula
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures

**Your Profile**:

- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related field
- Proven professional or academic experience in machine learning or released personal projects via GitHub
- Expertise with Python, machine learning and deep learning libraries
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams with scientists from different research areas

- The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 60.926,60 gross/year (for full-time employment).
