**Senior Expert (f/m/d), Biologics Analytical Operations, Schaftenau, Austria**

>200 This is the current number of programs in clinical development at Novartis. Many of these projects, which include new molecular entities as well as additional indications and different formulations for marketed products, are for medicines that could significantly advance treatment standards for patients worldwide.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Plan, perform and document results of analytical experiments independently to support development of biopharmaceutical drug substances/ products in a modern lab with state-of-the-art equipment (e.g. HPLC, CE, SoloVPE, and physical-chemical methods) in the scope of release, stability, validation, and transfer studies
- Experience in deviations and OOS/OOE/OOT events
- Approval of raw data according to cGMP requirements
- Proven track record in GMP operations
- Interact and collaborate with other groups and sites according to project requirements, actively foster knowledge exchange
- Be part of an open and motivated team with flat hierarchies, bring in your networking skills and collaborate across boundaries

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:
**Essential**:

- Bachelor Degree in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent with at least 2 years of work experience within the pharmaceutical industry, or Master Degree in relevant field, or Apprenticeship in related discipline with 6-10 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proficiency in English and German is beneficial
- Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical and chemical analytics, QC or equivalent
- Good theoretical and scientific knowledge in the area of expertise (like HPLC, CE)
- Flexible, pragmatic and goal-orientated working style and scientific way of thinking
- Team-oriented, open mindset

**Desirable requirements**:

- A personality with a can-do mentality and the ability to adopt to change with strong communication across organizational interfaces
- Ability to work with and lead a cross-functional team in a matrix environment
