Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for Scientist to join our team in Austria, Vienna, and become part of the global and continuously growing company.

In this position you will be contributing to the development and production of enzymes in microbial systems and thus to the growth of our development and production unit.

Role and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and run hands on full protein production processes from strain to enzyme product.
- Develop efficient and reproducible fermentation and DSP processes with the development & production team.
- Develop and write SOPs for industrial scale fermentation and protein production, implement fermentation and production processes in a timely and effective manner.
- Actively contribute to the introduction of efficient methods for fermentation and downstream processing.

All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position.

**Requirements**:

- Education in biotechnology or related field (PhD/Master or equivalent).
- Experience in fermentations of pro
- and eukaryotic microorganism, in particular E. coli or Pichia pastoris.
- Downstream processing of proteins preferentially enzymes.
- Experience in protein purification and enzymology as well as industrial experience is an additional asset.
- Excellent technical, organizational and planning skills, ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
- Excellent English language skills and good German skills required.
- Team player with excellent communications skills.
