HOOKIPA’s platform technology uses replicating viral vectors to target cancer and infectious diseases, with the potential to induce killer T cell response levels previously not achieved by other immunotherapy approaches.

HOOKIPA’s pipeline includes investigational arenaviral immunotherapeutics targeting HPV16+ cancers, prostate cancer, KRAS-mutated cancers (including colorectal, pancreatic and lung), and other undisclosed projects. In addition, the company aims to develop functional cures of HBV and HIV in collaboration with Gilead.

**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a highly experienced Program Manager (PM) with strong leadership skills to manage our two most advanced immune-oncology programs. The PM is responsible for all operational aspects of the program and works in close collaboration with the Program Lead who holds final accountability for the program. The PM is working according to international standards of program management and ensures deployment of agreed program management tools in programs of responsibility.

The Program Core Team (PCT) members represent the main functions in the company. The PM requires strong social and interpersonal competences to foster optimal team performance and the ability to create a positive atmosphere of respect, collaboration, and mutual learning. This position will report to the Head of Program Management Office and - like all PCT members - with a dotted line to the Program Leader.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to scenario planning by translating strategy into an integrated operational plan (program schedules, budgets and resource plans according to HOOKIPA processes. Translate agreed program goals into milestones and work packages.
- Take responsibility for all operational aspects of the program and work in close collaboration with the Program Leader
- Identify, report, and manage deviations to plan (time, budget, resources)
- Own and drive dashboards and program reviews (periodic reviews and Stage Gate Reviews)
- Drive preparation for Portfolio Committee presentation and ensure timely availability of pre-reads.
- Work according to HOOKIPA standards of program management and ensure deployment of agreed program management tools in programs of responsibility.
- Ensure adequate program documentation (for example meeting minutes, action log, agenda)
- Prepare meeting agendas and minutes and communicate action logs to team.
- Support PCT members to establish effective subteams and ensure implementation of PM tools and adequate documentation in subteams
- Closely collaborate with PM peers to harmonize PM approach across PCTs.
- Own continuous improvement approach for Development Program incl. lessons learned approach.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- University degree in a scientific field within life sciences / natural sciences.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in managing complex, global, cross-functional programs
- Experience in program valuation (NPV modeling)
- Experience in virology, immunology, oncology and/or vaccinology is a plus.
