**THE POSITION**
With immediate effect, we are searching a highly motivated Lab Scientist with strong communication skills, who is an exceptional team-worker. This position will strengthen our multi-disciplinary research team focused on translational and biomarker-related aspects in drug development for cancer patients. It offers a unique possibility to work at the forefront of the development of novel targeted as well as immune-oncology based therapies. The contract is limited to the end of 2026.
**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Independent planning, coordination, implementation, analysis and documentation of in vitro and ex vivo experiments
- Characterization of biomarkers for novel therapeutic approaches, supporting the development of novel cancer drugs with molecular and cellular biology expertise
- Analysis of signal transduction networks in cancer cells with a focus on novel approaches aimed towards clinical implementation
- Close collaboration with colleagues from various functions, e.g. histopathology and in vivo pharmacology
- Training/supervision of students
**Requirements**:
- PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. molecular biology, pharmacology, molecular medicine, cancer immunology)
- Experience with independently planning, performing and documenting in vitro and ex vivo experiments
- Experience with cell culture, protein and RNA analysis
- Strong scientific interest incl. literature search etc.
- Willingness to assume responsibility in a matrix in a global department

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 43,548.40 (full time), although the actual salary is based on your technical skills and personal competencies as well as your professional experience.
