The position of a Senior Scientist (M/F/d) “History of the Habsburg Monarchy in the Early Modern Period” (with a focus on source studies and history of administration) is to be filled at the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies of the University of Vienna.

**Extent of Employment**: 40 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

The position requires advanced academic qualifications (doctorate in early modern history of Austria/the Habsburg Monarchy) and extensive relevant personal experience with research projects (including scholarly editions) in the research areas mentioned below. The position of a Senior Scientist is allocated to the Institute of Austrian Historical Research and, in addition to independent research work, also involves participation in the editorial team of the “Mitteilungen des Instituts für Österreichische Geschichtsforschung” and its accompanying publication series.
