The Senior Buyer position is a key role within our strategic plan for European Supply Chain Organization. Based in either Innsbruck, Austria or Torbay, UK, you will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to balance short term priorities and analytical skills while questioning the status-quo as a necessity. Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted customer service levels, balancing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the supply chain in support of a mixed model of Buy-and-sell, and manufacturing operation using established Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

**The role will include the ability to**:
- Analyze Bills of Material, routings, and demand. Working within mainframe environment to enter purchase orders, make inquiries/ decisions regarding inventory, historical records, etc.
Have a proactive approach to maintaining a high level of service to internal and external customers.
React to the increase/decrease variation from forecast and/or customer demand to take the appropriate actions within the supply chain and maintain targeted inventory values / turns.
Ensure on time delivery of purchases and communicate/ resolve quality issues and other supplier performance problems.
Maximize inventory turns and minimize inventory carrying cost while maintaining customer expectations.
Maintain master supplier files, including Supplier Scorecards for “A” level suppliers.
Provide Customer Service / production with valid available to promise dates.
Support ERP projects for data clean up, implementation, and sustainment.
Interact with the Production Team and Planners to ensure that production schedules can be executed in the planned time frame regarding capacity and material availability.
As necessary, manage change within time fences, (due to emergency production concerns, expedites, equipment, problems, etc).
May plan requirements for assigned area of responsibility, in keeping with company goals, policies and procedures.
Special Projects centered around data integrity and continuous improvements as determined by manager.
Develop strategic suppliers and eliminate high-risk low volume suppliers and maintain excellent supplier relationships.
Negotiate tenaciously as well as ethically.
Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Supply Chain procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain.

Minimum 5 years of Procurement / Supply Chain experience.

C.P.M. or APICS certification preferred.

Experience in dealing with ERP (Oracle or SAP preferred).

Demonstrates excellent communication skills, team player, results oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Strong Analytical skills with the ability to solve complex topics and the flexibility to adapt to new situations and motivation to question the status-quo and go the extra mile.

Strong Negotiating Skills.

Sense of Urgency and solution-oriented character.

Self-management skills and self-started approach.

Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing).

Ability to work across regions. Position will be located either in Innsbruck, AT, or Torquay, UK.

Fluency in English.

Analytical mind with business acumen.

Outstanding Communication Skills.

Knowledge of current purchasing, inventory/ production control and manufacturing practices.
