**What you’ll do**

**As a species specialist in Swine you will be responsible for growing DSMs Performance Solutions business in the Animal Nutrition and Health unit within the region. Our broad portfolio delivers the level of functional nutrition needed for the industry to meet the challenges of sustainability, animal welfare and feed quality.**

**You will work with the sales teams to define and implement key sales and marketing actions to build up our market reputation, awareness, and customer consideration to drive sales of nutritional and health solutions across the customer portfolio. You will engage directly with markets and customers to convert customer leads and opportunities and positively contribute to sales growth of Performance Solutions.**

**Your key responsibilities**
- Accountable for Performance Solutions sales for the swine market across the Operating Unit
- Leads specific swine business development priorities and sales & marketing actions for the Operating Unit
- Works to develop PS sales across an agreed and aligned set of accounts in the Operating Unit
- Works with local markets and engages with key customers as a “difference maker” to generate PS sales (part of account team)
- Engages customers in a highly consultative, value-added solution selling sales process
- Independently visit customers (vet, nutritionist, production mgr.) to solicit customer issues, create new leads and generate awareness
- Provides nutritional and health solution recommendations
- Develops customer solutions, conducts customer conviction trials and supports solution implementation
- Implements swine campaigns within the Operating Unit
- Manages the swine opportunity pipeline in CRM and works with local markets to generate leads and convert customer opportunities
- Contributes to developing regional projects, campaigns and sharing of best practice/success stories as part of the regional species team
- Is incentivized based on contribution to overall sales and specifically to performance solution sales, independent of account
- Provides nutritional and health solution recommendations
- Develops customer solutions and supports solution implementation
- Defines and executes the Sales targets together with Head of Sales for assigned customer portfolio for Performance Solutions business line
- Responsible for Performance Solutions sales targets, sales & marketing action planning and execution within the Operating Unit
- Collaborates closely with Sales & Account Managers, Performance Solutions the Technical Species Experts
- Monitors the market, environment & competitive activity to support the development of sales to exploit DSM strengths and to respond threats or opportunities pre-emptively
- Interacts and regularly communicates with other departments to continuously reinforce the importance of understanding and meeting external customer needs to be competitive and to meet set expectations meeting market needs and sales goals
- Ensures compliance with DSM standards and policies

**You bring**

Strong technical, nutritional, or animal health background in Swine

University degree in Animal Nutrition/Science or related field; a business degree, certification or proven experience will be an added benefit

Sales background and interest in commercial business development

Familiarity with sales & marketing concepts, tools and practices in a solution selling environment

Project management experience

Fluent in English and Spanish
