CeMM is looking for a

FACS Technician (M/F/d)

Fulltime, 40 hours per week

Your role
- Daily start-up of analyzers (BD LSR Fortessa & Thermo Attune CytPix) and Sorters (Sony SH800 & CytoFLEX SRT) to meet the needs of CeMM Research Groups
- Operate FACS devices; supervise and coordinate the use of FACS devices together with lab technicians
- Weekly maintenance & daily user support (troubleshooting) for FACS devices
- Ensure that FACs devices are run according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and update SOPs if needed
- Introduce new users to FACS devices and coordinate additional FACS training with external providers if necessary
- Responsible for ordering consumables and replacement parts for FACS devices and main point of contact to external providers

**Profile**:

- Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, life sciences or related fields
- At least 2-3 years’ experience working with FACS machines
- Official training in BD flow cytometry devices is an advantage, training in Thermo Attune CytPix and/or CytoFLEX SRT is desired, but not a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Service orientation

- Normal working week is 40 hours. For proper device maintenance, you will need to start work at the latest by 8 am daily.
- This role is based in Vienna, Austria. You will be required to relocate if you are based elsewhere, and you will receive a generous relocation allowance to support you.
