About the role

At Cropster, we are building market-leading Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to empower businesses throughout the coffee supply chain. Thousands of customers all over the world from farm to cup use our software products to make better coffee.

In this role, you will directly report to the CEO and you will have oversight of all financial matters such as accounting and cash flow, financial planning and reporting, taxes, and controlling and ensuring compliance across the various disciplines. You will lead a growing team and support senior management in strategic planning and help them in making informed decisions. You will contribute to and have a direct impact on Cropster’s overall growth and strategy. The position is available in Innsbruck or Vienna.

What you'll do

Together with your team you will be responsible for
- Implementing and leading the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives and keeping senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
- Establishing KPI's to monitor the business on a monthly basis, comparing plan to actual, reporting to the CEO and senior management and identifying and evaluating potentially arising risks as well as opportunities, and making recommendations as appropriate.
- Administer and review all financial plans and budgets on a quarterly basis, monitor progress and changes and assist senior management in making strategic adjustments to their planning.
- Preparing, planning and overseeing the annual company wide budget process, participating in the review of department submissions and defining appropriate measures to achieve business results.
- Preparing and reviewing cash-flow, including analysis to manage working capital to meet commitments and identify funding requirements.
- Monitoring and design of internal controls to ensure an effective operating environment. Oversight of the finance function on a daily basis to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
- Developing a strategy to mitigate foreign exchange (FX) currency risks. Conducting an analysis on FX exposure, implementing options to account for FX fluctuations during budgeting and reporting and devising hedging options.
- Coordinating the reporting and audit process and dealing with any matters arising, including liaising with external auditors and accountants, to ensure timely and compliant completion and sign off of the annual financial statements.
- Overseeing administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales.
- Building and maintaining relationships with banks and financial institutions as well as other external partners and financial advisors.
- Supervising all finance, accounting, controlling and office administration staff at Cropster and keep on growing and developing your team.

We are looking for someone with
- Multiple years of experience in senior position(s) across various discipline (e.g. FP&A, controlling, accounting, taxation), preferably in a multi location business.
- Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow management in a service and / or technology industry.
- The willingness to roll-up your sleeves and wear multiple hats when managing day-to-day operations as well as a strategic mindset.
- Knowledge of financial and taxation frameworks as well as accounting principals (in particular IFRS), with a focus on Austria/EU and the US.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent command of Google Sheets / Excel and a sound understanding of accounting and reporting software.
- Fluent English skills; German desirable.
