TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

The Commodity Manager is responsible for defining and implementing regional sourcing strategies for the Molding / Packaging commodities and suppliers in order to reach the respective sourcing targets in delivery, productivity, cost, and quality.

Moreover, this position is responsible for supplier negotiations, supplier capacity management, and supplier compliance with relevant TE requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create a supplier sourcing strategy
- Improve material productivity and the contracting of supplier commercial agreements,
- Prepare Request for Quotes’s, utilizing E-Tools, awarding new business and negotiation all raw materials, components, and tooling
- Manage the Supplier setup onboarding and offboarding, collect and maintain capabilities and capacities of supplier’s privacy impact assessments,
- Conduct Quarter Business Review with strategic suppliers and drive corrective actions
- Ensure data on Outside Vendors tools is captured and delivered to finance.
- Ensure New Product Introduction alignment to global sourcing commodity strategy
- Drive the usage of the of the Supplier Portal in collaboration with tactical buyer department
- Manage the tool life cycle at suppliers

**What your background should look like**:
**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in procurement as buyer or in Packaging Product Development
- Knowledge of regional and global supplier base for relevant commodities
- Business level English and German
- Sourcing experience for relevant commodities is a plus
- Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, analytical skills, and communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continuous improvement attitude
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Eagerness to travel to Germany
