**Project Overview**:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.

Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 Terajoules per day.

Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2.

What you bring:

- Provides technical support to safety studies and assessments and other applicable safety and health reviews.
- Provides specialised safety input to engineering, construction, and subcontracts, thus ensuring that safety requirements are properly integrated into project planning, design criteria, construction plans and specifications and subcontracts.
- Coordinates with and provides technical assistance to other project-assigned functional leads (e.g., engineering, subcontracts, procurement, project controls) with regards to compliance with project-specific safety/health requirements.
- Provides technical support and assistance directly to construction supervision and subcontractors in planning and executing field activities in accordance with the project safety requirements.
- Participates in meetings, as required, with customers, project team members, and contractors/subcontractors to advise them of specialised safety and health requirements that may affect project design, construction schedule, and cost.
- Assists in drafting HSE Plans, project specific safety procedures, project specific implementation plans (e.g., evacuation plans, safety training plans and programs, People Based Safety), and technical reports.
- Conducts safety inspections of project construction activities to monitor compliance with safety requirements including contractual commitments, permits, the project’s HSE plan, and other applicable safety plans.
- Conducts activities to confirm hazard resolution for closure of risk reduction activities.
- Provide guidance, mentoring and leadership in HSE best practices to project personnel.
- Endorse and commit to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment to their assigned team members.
- Interacts with responsible parties to affect timely resolution of issues and to inform management if appropriate resolution is not achieved.
- Implements and conducts project awareness activities and toolbox sessions for project/facility Staff/Craft Professional personnel as requested.
- Implements personnel policies (e.g., conducts employee performance evaluations) and provides technical direction to staff.
- Executes all other HSE duties as assigned by HSE management.

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in the sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, public health), mechanical engineering, or a related field with 13 years of related experience in HSE. in lieu of a degree at least 19 years of professional experience
- General Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
- Previous refinery/chemical/LNG plant construction HSE experience is preferred
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training preferred

**Additional Information**:

- The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products - i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site. Mobile phones and other personal electronic devices - i.e. wireless headphones, iPads, smart watches - are also not permitted on site._
