Logistic Supervisor

SUMMARY AND PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
The Distribution Supervisor works directly with frontline leadership and Contributors to drive a culture of engagement, deliver key performance metrics, and maximize operational performance. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the daily Inbound/outbound operations, overseeing revenue, profit and cost controls, and ensuring safety, service and quality measures.

Purpose of the position:

- Direct all resources under the control of the Logistics Supervisor to achieve the agreed key financial goals established in the Annual Operations Plan and the customer service levels defined in the strategic plans.
- The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for achieving the main objectives related to deliveries, warehousing, transportation and Site management.
- Deliveries: shipments to domestic markets serviced from Austria, and occasionally to export markets or to other nVent distribution centers.
- Warehousing: Warehouse organization, products flow/rotation, quick assembly services and personnel management.
- Transportation: Transport of the finished goods from suppliers and to the clients observing. delivery times, quality and safety of the goods during transportation and costs optimization.
- Site Management: Responsible on building, utilities contracts, safety and security of the site.

Position in the organization
- _ Hierarchy: Reports to_ EMEA Logistics Sr. Manager.
- _ Coordinates_: Warehouse employees.
- _ Liaises with_: All company departments in general and with the Sales Units in particular.
- _ Relations with transport companies and other goods or warehouse services providers._

**Responsibilities**:

- _ Must possess ability to organize work activities and produce successful results. Make effective use of available resources, including staff. Stay on schedule and meeting commitments. Effective follow-up and prompt corrective action ensuring results are achieved._
- _ Assist the EMEA Enclosures Logistics Sr Manager with the coordination of continuous improvement projects and deployed initiatives._
- _ Negotiates terms and conditions with transportation companies under the supervision of EMEA Transportation category Manager._
- _ Monitors transportation companies and warehouse personnel performance._
- _ Accountable for reaching the budget targets and the logistics defined KPIs._
- _ Coaches and mentors direct reports in order to provide leadership counseling and advice to managers_
- _ Constantly suggests ways to improve and improves logistics processes._
- _ Organizes warehouse and observes FIFO principle._
- _ Coordinates own department and deals with day-to-day issues and all emergency situations related to transport and warehouse._
- _ Supervises and monitors warehouse planning activities._
- _ Reviews and analyzes distribution reports to determine causes of nonconformity with Inbound or outbound order requirements and customer service objectives._
- _ Other duties as assignation of those._

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Others (KSAO)
- _ 5 to 10 years of experience as a Distribution site responsible._
- _ Fluency in English and able to work in an international and very diverse environment._
- _ Experience in setting and organizing a warehouse._
- _ Experience in working with an advanced ERP and barcode system._
- _ Having worked with a Transport or Warehouse Management Systems would be a plus._
- _ Excellent communication abilities._
- _ Ability to coordinate, motivate and lead a team._
- _ Ability to build a good relationship with all other company departments._
- _ High level as MS office user, mainly with Excel._
- _ Hands on, Proactive, self-motivator and Task-oriented._
