Security Manager

**The Impact You’ll Make**
Oversees the administrative supervision of the security organization. Provides protection for personnel and company property. Develops and implements procedures to meet required codes and regulations. Prepares and maintains all required security manuals. Analyzes loss control and accident reports. Conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies. Responsibilities may include developing and implementing security awareness programs, extra protection for key employees, travel security assistance, and security risk assessment and planning in the area of crisis management. For companies with government contracts, responsibilities include coordinating and administering security clearances and other security policies and procedures in accordance with the Department of Defense. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
**What You’ll Do**
- Regional Oversight:
- Conduct regular site visits to assess security measures and provide on-site support and guidance.
- Security Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the specific needs of each site within the region, while maintaining GSO (Global Security Operations) standards.
- Collaborate with local management to integrate security measures into daily operations and emergency preparedness plans.
- Risk Assessment:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to the organization’s assets and personnel.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks, including physical barriers, surveillance systems, and access control measures.
- Incident Management:
- Lead the response to security incidents, including coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain an incident log and ensure timely reporting to senior management.
**Further Qualifications**
- Vendor Management:
- Oversee relationships with security service providers, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of vendor performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to local, regional, and international security regulations and standards, including GDPR, ISO 27001, and other relevant frameworks.
- Stay updated on changes in security regulations and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the security budget for the EMEA region, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high security standards.
- Monitor expenditures and provide regular budget reports to senior management.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including IT, HR, and Facilities, to integrate security measures into broader organizational initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address security-related issues and projects.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on security status, incidents, and improvements to senior management.
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations based on security data and trends.
**Who We’re Looking For**
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience in physical security management or related field. Experience in a supervisory role within the EMEA region would be preferrable.
- **Skills**: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
- **Knowledge**: In-depth knowledge of security systems, technologies, and best practices. Familiarity with regional security regulations and standards.
- **Attributes**: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- **Travel**: Willingness to travel within the EMEA region as required.
