Technical Research Associate

We are looking for a highly motivated technical research associate to join our Translational Research and Development team. All of our Innovation is driven by people - highly talented multi-disciplinary teams that work collaboratively to solve real world drug discovery problems. In this role you will be responsible for supporting existing programs, improving scalability and jointly developing novel assays centered around primary human tissues collected from study centres across Europe using cutting edge microscopy, molecular biology, CRISPR-Cas9 technology and next generation sequencing methods. You will work closely with a team of distinguished scientists at the cutting edge patient centric drug design. The translational R&D research associate position is crucial to our continuous growth.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

- Contribute to the design and further optimization of workflows within the Translational Research & Development Vienna team using flow cytometry and NGS.
- Deploy and andvance in development of CRISPR-Cas9 engineering to generate optimal models to study disease.
- Support and work within an incredibly motivated and talented, international and multidisciplinary team to make better drugs for the right patients faster.
- Establish and maintain documents and protocols to ensure reproducibility and experiment documentation according to Exscientia’s Quality Management System and Good Documentation Practice.

**Requirements**:

- BSc or MSc in biomedical sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry or similar)
- At least 2 years of prior experience in industry or a quality managed academic environment
- Experience with common molecular biology techniques including:

- Cell culture
- Flow cytometry
- DNA / RNA prep
- (Fluorescence) microscopy
- CRISPR-Cas9 technology
- Experience with handling and working with primary human tissues is an advantage.
- Experience in working under good laboratory practice (GLP) and good documentation practice (GDP) guidelines is a bonus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Diligence and reliability in collaborations with attention to detail
