We’re hiring at any of the XR Labs Europe locations in Austria, France, Netherlands, and Spain.
Qualcomm’s XR team is seeking a Lead for the Systems Integration and Test Engineer Team to join a talented and innovative team developing the next generation of augmented and virtual reality (XR) technologies.
- The Systems Integration and Test team is responsible for optimizing and validating performance of computer vision technologies based on Qualcomm Snapdragon. In this role you must have a good understanding of Augmented/Virtual Reality systems and general computer vision enabling technologies. You will lead and manage a team of Test engineers and build-up test capabilities and routines for several computer vision-based technologies.
- You will interact with systems engineering and R&D teams setting up test cases and scenarios as well as automatizing some of the test scenarios.
- Communications skills are key to success in this role, you must possess verbal and written skills that convey your test strategies and results to various stakeholders.- Manage a team of engineers to enable and profile complex concurrent system use-cases in both simulation, software and hardware environments (Android/Linux/Windows).-
- Direct triage of complex performance issues to determine root-cause and present results to internal and external stakeholders.-
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, R&D leads and software engineering, etc.) to define test suites and identify gaps in testing strategies.-
- Mentor and guide Engineer to Staff Engineer to successfully execute multiple programs.- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or related field.-
- 15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience-
- 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (Sr. Director, Vice President level and above)-
- 1+ year in a technical leadership role with direct reports.-
- Experience with Augmented/Virtual Reality and general computer vision enabling technologies and devices-
- Experience in performance test analysis and monitoring- The company language is English. You will work together with an international engineering team, therefore communication skills and the ability to work in a team are key to success in this role.
