**THE ROLE**

As IP Analyst, you will work on the first line, advising on all matters relating to IP landscaping and provide regular IP reports to different business and functions. As a key member of the BA - Intellectual Property team you will be a corner stone in achieving Utopia’s objective to Gain the Trust of the Industry, and will collaborate closely with our Strategy and Business Units.

You will be a key player, a strategic business partner providing IP searches and analysis to enable effective and informed decision making within Utopia Group.

You will collaborate closely with our inventor’s community to develop a first class WW IP portfolio, and with our Business Analysts to provide insights on dynamic market changes within the competition and other insights that positively impact business decisions and strategy, by ensuring all competitive IP intelligence is available and easily accessible to key customers, partners and other stakeholders.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

In this position, you will be primarily accountable for consistently and effectively:

- Developing and delivering regular analysed IP data, insights and reports, including competitor IP landscapes, threat assessments, strength positioning, etc.
- Conducting IP landscape evaluations to identify trends in a technology field, deliver IP competitive intelligence, identify potential new research areas, licensing and acquisition opportunities
- Preparing search reports and IP landscaping analysis and share with key stakeholders adapting the content to the audience
- Acting in providing support to develop and maintain a first class World Wide IP Portfolio
- Provide technical research and analysis with respect to patentability, validity, freedom-to-operate, infringement, monitoring of the competitive landscape in different technological areas;
- Prepare search strategies to identify relevant patent and scientific literature in a given technology domain, and subsequent analysis;
- Identify and report innovations in a specific technology domain through analysis of patent, product, and academic literature;
- Provide support in assisting inventors with invention disclosure forms, refining/pivoting inventions if/when needed;
- Assisting Business Units with innovation capture;

**REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 3 years in similar roles with competitive intelligence and IP search - with advanced degree required in Electrical/Data Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Patent/IP Agent/Scientific /Business Analyst - experience in search and patent literature
- Experience with patent related databases and proven experience in the patent searcher field is preferable
- Technical background/knowledge in data and databases, signal processing, music industry, gaming industry, new technologies (blockchain, metaverse, Big Data management, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
- Experience leading actionable and cross-functional strategic workshops
