The Faculty of Physics is filling a 50% position of Senior Lecturer (instructive teaching - “anleitende Lehre”) dedicated to participation in the basic experimental training in degree programmes for which the Faculty of Physics is responsible
**Duration of employment**: 4 year/s
**Extent of Employment**: 20 hours/week, which include a teaching assignment of 12 hours instructive teaching on a average per semester.
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
The main focus of your activities as a Senior Lecturer is the organization and implementation of instructive teaching in the courses of the compulsory experimental physics modules of the bachelor’s programmes Physics, Teacher Education Physics, and other bachelor’s programmes in Natural Sciences (“service teaching”). Ongoing reception of the current state of science and further didactic training during the lecture-free period are expected, as well as participation in the updating, adaptation and setup of physics experiments.
In addition, participation in outreach activities of the faculty for high school students is desired. Participation in tasks related to administration and coordination of teaching in basic experimental education is also part of the job profile.
In the case of a positive evaluation at the end of the fixed-term period, the position may be made permanent.

a. Completed master's or graduate degree in physics or in teaching physics.
b. Several years of teaching experience at a post-secondary educational institution (of advantage: in a physics lab course for beginners)
c. Experience with digital teaching and e-learning platforms
