Join us as Managing Director in George Labs GmbH in Vienna, an international and cross-disciplinary squad of people who are passionate about a great banking experience, powered by Erste Group.

With this role, you commit to managing the George Labs team, together with your Managing Director colleague, and embedded in the George Management Team. This cross-organizational leadership team, which includes Erste Digitals’ Digital Banking and the CPO Division is responsible for the George Platform. The George Management team directly reports to the Chief Platform Officer of Erste Group, who is ultimately responsible for the platform vision, its strategy, and the defined business objectives.

**YOUR MISSION**:

- As a trusted leader you take responsibility to manage the area of George Product Strategy and Product Ownership, UX-Design & UX Testing as well as George Copy Writing.
- Together with your fellow MD, you will be jointly accountable for people matters, research, cooperation with 3rd parties as well as internal/external communication.
- The business operations are managed jointly according to the instructions of Erste Group and the resolutions of the Advisory Board, incl. annual business, budget, and resource planning.
- You passionately represent George (Labs) at external forums and thus support the positioning and innovative spirit of the project.
- You closely collaborate with the senior business and IT stakeholders at Holding and local entities to enable effective delivery of George.
- You coordinate and manage relationships with local entities with a clear focus on George, its innovation, growth & monetization.
- You create and manage an open and productive communication channel between business, product owners, and local George teams throughout Erste Group.
- You participate in the Digital Strategy Board as well as in other relevant steering and project portfolio-related bodies on the Business side.
- You exercise management and leadership functions as a member of the group´s executive management team in line with the Statement of Purpose.
**YOU CHECK THESE BOXES**:
**Prior Work Experience & Business Knowledge**
- Around 5+ years of experience in steering and delivery of major digital innovation initiatives across multiple countries, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Very good knowledge of the digital banking industry and deep understanding of digital innovation, digital products, user experience & fintech trends.
- Around 5+ years of experience in leading, managing, and developing international teams embedded in an agile and strong organisational culture and corporate environment.
- Fluency in English; German or any CEE language is a plus
- A competent advisor to the Chief Platform Officer and the Board who can contribute to and advance initiatives consistent with the organisation’s overall strategic vision and goal of long-term value creation.
- Strong business orientation and a proven ability to partner with line managers and operating teams in developing and advancing transformational strategic plans.
**Communication Skills & Leadership / Executive Presence**:

- Proven ability to drive manage an international and cross-disciplinary team that is passionate about a great banking experience
- An effective communicator both verbally and in writing with colleagues and external partners, able to deal with various senior stakeholders, understand their positions, and have the capacity, confidence, and credibility to influence as required.
- Have seasoned business judgment, senior management stature, superior integration and resolution skills, a passion for increasing shareholder as well as customer value, and improving processes across the organisation.
- An inspiring leader with a strong character and superior personal integrity as well as a motivator of people and teams.
