Supply Chain Director (f/m/x)

Location: Austria (HQ Vienna) with worldwide outreach; full time

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Being the Supply Chain Director, you are responsible for the end-to-end Supply Chain planning for our client’s products as well as for its efficiency and compliance on a global level with a strong operational focus. By leading and further developing the international Customer Service
- / Logistics
- and Supply Management-Team (6 experts) - an integral part of the HQ’s Supply Chain team - you will ensure the global product supply in time and quality and actively support the global Head of Supply Chain in your role as highly experienced, solution-focused and empathetic sparring partner.

**Your major accountabilities**:

- Safeguard a smooth end-to-end Supply Chain Management for the client’s products on a global level interacting with multiple (>50) Distribution partners, Contract Manufacturing Organizations (>20) and freight forwarders.
- This includes:
- Ensure internal & external forecasting, planning and ordering with internal and external suppliers
- Manage uninterrupted product availability and delivery in time
- Collect business and user requirements in order to ease the process for all involved stakeholders
- Coordinate the transfer of new product launches / projects into the end-to-end Supply Chain Operations
- Mitigate supply risks by:

- Discussing and resolving issues and close process gaps
- Following up on issues / actions raised during the end-to-end Supply Chain process
- Ensuring Supply Chain transparency and cross functional alignment between all involved parties
- Identifying and implementing continuous process-, structure
- and system improvements
- Serve as strong partner for adjacent Supply Chain functions, relevant business functions and management in order to enable new product integration and business growth
- Be a sparring partner for the Head of Supply Chain in further developing the overall SC strategy
- Actively support the Supply Chain-expert team members (operating from 3 international locations on a daily basis)
- Lead and further develop the Supply Chain team to ensure effective and cooperative cross-functional teamwork at the country, regional, and global levels

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced degree in an economic discipline or degree in Supply Chain Management and / or Logistics or other of position relevance
- 10+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain and / or Manufacturing preferably within an international and complex pharmaceutical industry setting
- Ability to operate in a global organization with various stakeholders
- Skills in managing and influencing interactions with pertinent functions and external stakeholders across multiple cultures in a dynamic business environment
- Autonomous and collaborative way of working, hands-on and solution-oriented mind set and attitude
- Convincing customer-service orientation and entrepreneurial mindset with the focus on excellence
- Proven strong operational, managerial and leadership skills as demonstrated by leading previous teams
- Motivating and charismatic leader with fine interpersonal, networking and teamwork skills
- Very good spoken and written English and German skills are a must, any additional language is beneficial
- IT-user-proficiency is taken for granted as well as your given willingness to travel
