Monetary Policy Section is responsible for the analysis and research of monetary policy and inflation at the OeNB.
We are looking for interested students to support our team in research activities in the field of empirical monetary (macro)economic in a half-time position for a period of 2 years

**Research Assistant (part-time, limited)**:

**Your tasks**:

- Data research and data preparation of financial markets and economic data (micro and macro data) as a basis for further research activities of our team
- Supporting our team in literature research and preparation of academic literature
- Conducting statistical and econometric analyses in the field of monetary policy for further use in internal analysis or briefings
- Writing codes in common programming languages (R, Python or Stata), e.g. to automate recurring evaluations
- Supporting the team in preparing briefings for top management on current monetary policy issues

**Your Background**:

- You have a sound education in macroeconomics and econometrics
- You have a strong interest in scientific work
- You have experience with financial market and macro data or large microdata sets
- Ideally, you already have experience as a research assistant/project assistant
- You are interested in familiarizing yourself with new topics at short notice and can achieve results independently under specified deadlines
- You have very good written and oral communication skills and team spirit
- Excellent written and oral command of English; basic command of German and readiness to become proficient in German; further languages would be an asset
