Scientist (M/F/d) - Radio Channel Modelling for Reliable 6G Systems
- Center for Digital Safety & Security
- Our wireless research team uses a state-of-the-art software defined radio lab to gather empirical radio channel measurements to calibrate geometry based numerical channel models with the aim to build a digital twin for reliable wireless communication systems.
- You will use and further develop our available code base for GPU based ray tracing and real-time geometry based stochastic channel models.
- You investigate and implement new methods for spatially consistent models over a wide frequency band ranging from sub-6GHz to mmWave.
- You engage in collaborative research activities with industry partners in Austria and Europe and define new project ideas and consortia.
- In addition to journal publications, you will represent AIT at international conferences and present your results to the scientific community.
- Thanks to your motivation, innovative solutions, and expertise in this specific field, you will actively shape the channel modelling strategy for reliable 6G systems.
- You will have the opportunity to participate in national and European research projects - These projects lead to exciting new developments, allowing you to continuously enhance your own knowledge and skills.

Your qualifications as an
**Ingenious Partner**:

- Doctoral (PhD, Dr.) degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Scientific track record on advanced radio channel modelling combining deterministic and stochastic methods for real-time execution
- Software development skills for parallel high-performance architectures (GPU, CPU)
- Ability to integrate in a multinational research team and lead research projects
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, readiness to acquire German language skills

**What to expect**:
The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement is EUR 55.020,-. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition, we offer company benefits, flexible working conditions, individual training and career opportunities.
