**Your duties**:

- Independent research and technological development in the field of energy
- and lipid metabolism in higher eukaryotic model organisms (murine)
- Cooperation with established research groups at the Institute of Molecular Biosciences as well as the field of excellence "BioHealth"
- Contribution to teaching in molecular biology and microbiology (Bachelor, Master)
- Student support and supervision
- Cooperation on organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

**Your Profile**:

- Completed doctoral/Ph.D. studies in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field as well as several years of experience as a post-doc or in a comparable position
- Training in the work with mice as model organisms (including certificate Felasa B or equivalent)
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of specific methods in the field of energy
- and lipid metabolism and working with mice as model organisms
- Publication record in international journals in the field of energy
- and lipid metabolism
- International experience after completing the master’s degree (desirable)
- Technical expertise in working with radioactive isotopes
- Didactic competence to participate in teaching microbiology, biochemistry and molecular biology
- Very good knowledge of the German and English languages
- Reliability
- Independent and self-responsible way of working

- The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 60.926,60 gross/year (for full-time employment).
