**About the job**

As our new License Management Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements and optimizing license usage as well as software budget. Guiding the entire contract and license lifecycle, you will work in cross-functional teams to develop the best fitting licensing solution. Internally, you will collaborate with legal and procurement teams to accompany contract negotiations and to mitigate risks associated with potential license violations. Externally, you will establish a good working relationship with software vendors, to understand different licensing models and negotiate the most favorable terms.

**In addition, your tasks will include**:

- Maintaining an accurate inventory of software licenses and subscriptions
- Generating and analyze reports on license usage and compliance to optimize license utilization and software spend
- Analyzing and optimizing software asset management (SAM) processes
- Accompanying license audits
- Supporting the software budgeting process and budget cost controlling

**What we expect from you in terms of**

**Education & skills**
- A university degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field (OR proven experience in software asset management / license management)
- Comprehensive knowledge in software licensing models and agreements as well as license management tools
- Basic technical understanding (for evaluation of different licenses)

**Languages**
- English - Proficient/Fluent
- Any other language is considered an asset

**Work Experience**
- A few years of relevant working experience in an SAP and/or Microsoft environment

The annual gross salary for this position will start from € 53.000,00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualification and experience, as well as the amount of overtime and your level of seniority. We will make sure to offer you a competitive salary package that values your relevant background and that’s in line with market values.
