**About the role**

We have fantastic opportunities for Foresters to join us in our stunning West region. Our Forester roles cover many workstreams in FLS. The roles we are currently offering are Harvesting Foresters and Forest Management and Stewardship Foresters.

The Harvesting Foresters support the planning and delivery of tree felling operations ensuring sites and programmes are manged and delivered to the required standards. We deliver these programmes through either direct FLS harvesting teams or direct contracts to sell timber at roadside or through our standing sales options with respective contract preparation and management.

Our Forest Management and Stewardship Foresters deliver our varied and exciting establishment and associated maintenance programmes whilst also contributing to the more general stewardship and maintenance of respective Beat areas. The role also supports delivery of the maintenance of recreational trails and facilities as well as delivery of environmental projects such as Scotland’s Rainforest.

We are currently offering two Harvesting Forester posts in the Mid and South Argyll area and one in the North Argyll and Mull area.

Additionally we have Forest Management and Stewardship Forester opportunities with three positions available within our North Lochaber, Island of Mull and Mid Argyll areas.

**Ways of working**

We have opportunities for those living in the region or looking to relocate and join us on a permanent basis or alternatively we are open to a ‘drive in drive out’ (DIDO) arrangement on a fixed term basis. This might suit someone living further afield who is looking to work in a more agile way. **About you**

You will be able to clearly demonstrate you experience of forest or land management based operations and be comfortable in managing, supervising and supporting people.

Whilst not essential, a qualification in Forestry or Land Management at HND/HNC level or higher would be desirable.
