Mechatronic Assistant

**Duties and Responsibilities**
We are looking for a person to join our embedded lab in Vienna, to help set up and run the lab operations, and to assist in ongoing projects.

**Your profile**
- Background in electronics, mechanical and electrical engineering
- Knowledge about post-industrial fabrication and industry 4.0 technologies
- Ability to use workshop tools such as 3D Printer, CNC router etc
- Decent knowledge about physics
- Able to research, compare and order electronic components
- Ability to solder and to use oscilloscopes
- Knowledge of PCB Design, ICs and embedded electronics
- Linux and open source software/hardware knowledge
Optional (these things are a plus, but not mandatory)
- Ability to use Altium and or KiCAD
- Background in Open Source fabrication and Open Source Hardware
- Rust embedded skills
- Python
- Amazon and cloud experience
- Previous open source project participation
- Knowledge about FPGAs
- Previous experience in open source hardware projects
**Compensation**
Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 35.042,00 gross per year on fulltime base. However, a competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications.
