Jvi Internship

The Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) is looking for a motivated intern to join the JVI economists’ team for 2 months. The internship will focus on support of the faculty members in economic research projects, course material development and maintenance. The internship will also offer an opportunity to learn about the organization, institutional workflows, and to interact with an international team with broad professional experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- **Internet and database research**: collect, record, visualize and analyze economic data for a research project.
- **Course maintenance**:support JVI faculty in updating lecture materials and databases for workshops.
- **Literature review**: collect and survey publications relevant for the research projects.

Qualifications:

- PhD or Master’s degree student in economics, finance, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of macroeconomics and economic policy.
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, and writing skills.
- Solid knowledge of spreadsheet and statistical software, including Excel, EViews, Stata.
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to work effectively in teams in an international environment.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).

About the JVI:
The internship duration is 2 months with a competitive monthly remuneration. The preferred starting date for the position is July 3, 2023, but flexibility is possible.
