**Company Description**:
**We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to strengthen our International Logistics Department.**

In this role, you’ll closely align with different internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Planning) as well as our (mainly internal) customers. You’ll always be driven by a service-oriented mindset, combined with a cost-conscious approach.

**TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT**

As Logistics Specialist, it will be your responsibility to independently manage a defined set of carriers and third-party logistics (3PLs). In addition to that, you’ll monitor and control transport services by land, sea, and air. Moreover, it will be your task to benchmark and negotiate rates on specific routes and you’ll handle and resolve deviations from our standard processes.

**IT-SYSTEM & PROCESSES**

In this role, it is also important to have a certain affinity for information systems. Therefore, you should be capable of understanding, monitoring, and controlling the existing logistics-related processes in our ERP software. In parallel, you’ll identify opportunities for the improvement of existing IT systems & processes, and you’ll trigger and drive related initiatives. This is important to increase efficiencies, transparency, and integration with both internal and external stakeholders.

**REPORTING & BILLING**

Lastly, it is essential in this position to engage in reporting and billing. You’ll provide regular reports regarding the activities and the performance of our 3PLs and you’ll make sure the reports are validated and further developed. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to verify the incoming invoices as well as the correct system-based issuance of credit notes to our 3PLs. You’ll also monitor existing and develop potential new sets of KPIs and you’ll develop measures to improve those metrics with our 3PLs and internal stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
Know-how and hands-on experience in the planning and execution of land, sea, and air transportation logistics (processes, documents, legal framework, etc.)

Versatile skills in MS products like Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Basic knowledge of SAP R/3 is desired

Proven record in problem-solving dealing with multiple parties

Accuracy in the execution and ability to prioritize tasks

Willingness to learn, grow and to take on challenges

Good interpersonal skills

**Additional Information**:

University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering

Language

Fluent in English, German is a plus
