Your Responsibilities

You not only have expertise and experience working with single-cell and/or bulk sequencing data, you are also eager to stay up-to date with the latest developments in genomics and bioinformatics. At ISTA, you will work closely with experimentalists and help to develop computational methods on novel sequencing data.

Analyze data sets obtained by single-cell and bulk sequencing (e.g. DNA, RNA, ATAC, ChIP, CUT&RUN, CUT&TAG)
Establish and maintain custom data analysis pipelines
Contribute to writing papers in collaboration with experimentalists
Train end users to implement the codes/pipelines independently
Contribute to the training of the next generation of bioinformaticians at the graduate school through guest lectures and hands-on workshops

Your Profile

MSc or PhD in biology, bioinformatics, computer science, statistical physics, or related fields
Demonstrated experience taking next-generation sequencing data from raw data, exploratory analysis, data modeling to biological findings
Knowledge in statistics and data modeling
Experience in developing and maintaining bioinformatics data analysis pipelines on a computing cluster
Enthusiasm to keep up with the newest technological and computational advances in genomics through papers, conferences, and seminars
