**The Opportunity** As a Gentrack Business Analyst, you will help design and build our new Data & Analytics platform. We need someone with detailed knowledge of utility (power/gas/water) data, analytics requirements, and operational and strategic reporting. The focus for the role will be identifying the critical analytical outcomes for utility clients and specifying the detailed requirements for the engineering teams to facilitate and product which delivers next level reporting and provide the cornerstone for our AI implementation. We have great customers that depend on us to provide essential services. As a B2B software and service provider bringing complex, mission critical systems to a few large-scale clients in ANZ and across the globe, we will only fulfill our global aspirations if we have the most talented leadership working with these clients to secure their business through the delivery and support of great technology. **The Specifics ** - Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to understand variety of use cases - Identify priority use cases for Data & Analytics products and build product requirements to support build of backlog - See the big picture and design the end-to-end solution based on the product roadmap and business requirements. - Leverage your deep utilities knowledge to drive cutting edge outcomes - Obtain constructive feedback from stakeholders to enhance quality of end client solution - Producing business requirements to support development of POCs and demos - Support client demonstrations - Gather requirements from clients. - Guiding internal and external development teams to ensure accurate interpretation of requirements. - This may require out of hours work to facilitate international clients and cross department stakeholders **What we're looking for ** - **Extensive utilities experience, ideally billing, settlements etc** - Deep domain knowledge of operational and/or strategic KPI monitoring - Robust understanding of analytical methods and tools - Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes - Proven ability to understand and communicate technical and business concepts - Experience of software development lifecycles desirable - Likely experience as an operations manager or commercial / strategy / finance / MI analyst. - Can do attitude - Exceptional communication skills - A passion for excellence and a commitment to be the best. - High levels of energy, sound judgement and determination to achieve with a sense of urgency. - Substantial personal responsibility and autonomy - Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills. - Ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback. **What we offer in return:** - Personal growth – in leadership, commercial acumen and technical excellence - To be part of a global, winning high growth organization – with a career path to match - A vibrant, culture full of people passionate about transformation and making a difference -with a one team, collaborative ethos - A competitive reward package that truly awards our top talent - A chance to make a true impact on society and the planet
