Register here: https://blackbird-vc.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_E7jxreFWRnOtxhewYp6X0g#/registration _Only applications with a video introduction will be considered_ Blackbird is looking to hire a Casual or Contractor content creator to support the Head of the Blackbird Foundation in unleashing magic and creativity in young people all across Australia and New Zealand. You will work alongside the Head of the Blackbird Foundation and the Marketing and Community Co-ordinator as we work to unleash creativity in young people. You will produce a variety of dynamic and creative content on behalf of the Foundation. We can’t fund every young person, so we use storytelling to reach those we don’t fund. Stories scale, and through storytelling, we can inspire an infinite number of people to discover their creativity. One key program we run is called Protostars. Protostars is a curated community of ambitious and creative young people building and creating their passion projects. Participants receive a $1k grant from Blackbird Foundation and work on a passion project to gain access to the community. These passion projects vary across different disciplines, interest areas and topics. In the past, we have funded all manner of projects, including: a metaverse fashion exhibition, a humanoid robot, a travelling STEM roadshow, a startup creating art from mycelium and coffee ground waste, an underground zine on culture and more Here is what you’ll be working on: - Help us to reach new audiences by making creative content centred on our Protostars and the projects we have funded. Use these stories to grow our followers and increase engagement across our channels. - Execute the Protostars marketing plan and drive applications for Protostars. - Own the Foundation Zine - our website blog/substack. - Explore new mediums and experiment with different ways to reach our audiences. - Find ways to collaborate on content with Blackbird and other stakeholders. - Commission brilliant storytellers to make content for us. - Measure and report on your efforts. We’re after a young, energetic content creator. We aren’t necessarily after a seasoned marketer out of ad school. We’re looking for someone who can use media creatively, make content across any medium, and intuitively understand our audience. You have excellent taste, the zeitgeist on speed dial, and can appeal to our audience because you are our audience.
