**Overview of the role** - Oversee and manage the construction activities of multiple residential homes within a designated area. - Coordinate with the project manager to ensure that the construction schedule is followed and projects are completed on time. - Supervise and guide a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and tradespeople to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols. - Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify any potential issues or delays, and implement corrective measures as necessary. - Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and permits by closely monitoring construction activities and materials used. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to address design-related issues and provide input for construction modifications or improvements. - Manage and monitor the delivery of construction materials and equipment to the site, ensuring availability as per project requirements. - Keep accurate records of daily activities, including work progress, manpower, and material usage, and report to the project manager. - Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution. - Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during construction, implementing appropriate solutions and maintaining positive working relationships. - Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions. - Stay updated on industry trends, construction techniques, and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve construction processes and outcomes. - To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of construction principles and practices. You will also need to be a strong leader and motivator, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Requirements to Apply ** - A minimum of 3 years experience working for a home builder managing high volume projects as a Supervisor - Hands on detail orientated individual who thrives on working in a fast paced environment - Candidates MUST have either a Cert III Carpentry OR Bricklaying AND a Cert IV in Building a Construction OR if no trade background candidates MUST have a Builder’s license OR Supervisor’s license - The successful candidate will be well presented with excellent communication skills, IT savvy and process orientated
