**Key Responsibilities:** - Work closely with third-party payment providers or gateways and internal systems to architect and design payments infrastructure - Architect and design scalable, high-performance payments system in alignment with project requirements and company standards. - Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies. - Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates. - Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. - 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development. - 2+ years of technical leadership experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role. - Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges. - Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience building global payments systems for gaming or entertainment - Experience working with payments providers or equivalent payment processing systems - Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance in payment systems - Experience building payments fraud system (e.g. decisioning / rule engine, chargeback tools)
