Are you experienced in Finance, Commerce, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Visualization? If so, Deloitte’s growing M&A Analytics team, part of the wider Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SR&T) group, offers an exciting opportunity for you. You'll work on high-profile M&A assignments, collaborating with top professionals in the field and engage in a broad range of corporate and private equity transactions. This role offers a dynamic, client-focused environment where you'll have the chance to make a real impact. **What will your typical day look like?** Our M&A Analytics team provides clients with expert support throughout transactions or potential deals. You’ll help investigate target companies from multiple angles to identify key value drivers, risks, and critical issues, enabling our clients to make well-informed decisions. Core services include: • Acquisition and vendor due diligence • Bid defence and support • Reporting accountant services for capital market transactions We work within larger deal teams, drawing on Deloitte’s extensive expertise in areas like commercial and operational due diligence, sale and purchase agreement negotiations, financial modelling, fund placement, merger integration and business intelligence. **About the M&A Analytics team** Our team delivers complex, data-driven insights to help clients make strategic decisions in M&A transactions. We understand the complexity of the choices our clients face and work alongside them to navigate these challenges, providing timely and effective solutions that add real value. The M&A Analytics team combines diverse thinkers from fields such as commerce, quantitative finance, science, mathematics, and consulting, fostering a creative and dynamic working environment. **Enough about us, let's talk about you.** In this critical role, you will provide data-driven insights to support financial due diligence and M&A transactions. You will bridge the gap between data analytics, visualization and financial analysis, playing a key role in delivering analytic insights as part of our M&A teams. We expect you to have the following attributes and abilities to be successful in this role: _Education & Experience:_ • Completed undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering with outstanding academic credentials • 2-5 years of experience in a Finance, Commerce or Analytics role • Strong financial literacy with a solid understanding of value drivers that underpin financial performance _Technical & Analytical Expertise:_ • Experience with languages and tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, QlikView, GitHub, VBA • Ability to undertake financial analysis across profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows. • Experience with improving team quality, efficiency and skillsets _Communication & Leadership:_ • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms • A demonstrated track record of successfully bridging the gap between technology and business teams, as well as stakeholders • Ability to develop static and interactive data visualizations to communicate business insights to clients _Project & Collaboration Skills:_ • Experience in managing project timelines and client deliverables effectively while collaborating extensively with clients and other Deloitte teams • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively toward common goals, with past experience leading analytics professionals _Continuous Learning & Innovation:_ • A personal commitment to continuous learning, with a track record of keeping up-to-date with emerging analytics tools, approaches and methods • Ability to understand and articulate the commercial implications of analytic solutions in the context of financial reporting and decision-making Join us to help shape the future of M&A transactions with data-driven insights and innovative solutions.
