Click play, on your career today **What you will do: ** **Employment Relations** - Act as the point of contact for employee relations cases, escalating when necessary to the Head of People & Culture - Coach managers through investigations and providing effective, actionable feedback - Provide sound advice, supporting managers with challenging conversations, ensuring decisions are based on awareness of all associated people risks, and those issues are handled fairly and with due process - Keep abreast of employment legislation to accurately guide managers **People Strategy and Projects** - Assist in the creation of the People Strategy, completing relevant project work to bring it to life throughout the year, owning tasks as required - Contribute to and drive key People initiatives, including the annual engagement survey, goal setting and performance review, promotions, engagement/retention strategies and organisational design - Be proactive, providing ideas and suggestions, taking a lead role on projects **Immigration** - Act as the escalation point for visa or immigration queries from both employees and the P&C team - Keep up to date with immigration legislative changes - Ensure visa databases are up to date and that budgets are managed/signed off **Reporting & Administration** - Report on areas such as performance, career development, attrition, leave, and provide analysis on risks and improvement areas - Support the remuneration review and bonus processes with managers by researching and compiling salary benchmarking data - Provide back up support where necessary, including system updates, employee changes, contract generation etc. **What you will bring: ** - A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role - End-to-end employee lifecycle exposure - Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures - Demonstrated working knowledge of ER/IR including employment legislation and people “know-how” with regard to coaching leaders to manage people - Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and employees, and to act as a trusted advisor and business partner - Demonstrated experience in leading formal and informal grievances and performance management matters - Commerciality - the ability to apply a reasonable and considered approach to delivery of key outcomes - Knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations, including the Fair Work Act and EEO - Experience in the technology industry would be an advantage - Experience with cloud-based HRIS, G-Suite, Culture Amp, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence & Trello) would be advantageous. **Personal qualities:** - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, creating positive and respectful interactions - Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and align HR strategies with overall business objectives - Proactive, with the ability to anticipate and respond to HR-related issues and challenges - Results-driven, with the ability to deliver high-quality HR services and support that exceeds expectations - Collaborative, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders - Flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements and manage competing priorities - Resilient, with the ability to work effectively under pressure, deal with challenging and confronting scenarios  - High level of integrity, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining - confidentiality. **Some of the perks of working for us:** - EAP access for you and your family - Access to over 9,000 courses across our Learning and Development Platform  - Paid volunteer day - Two full-time barista’s who will make your daily coffee, tea or fresh juice - Daily catered breakfast - Massage Wednesdays - we get professionals to do this - Team lunches and happy hour in the office from 4pm on Fridays - Fun office environment with pool tables, table tennis and all your favourite gaming consoles - Help yourself drinks fridges and snack shelves
