Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Specialist to join our team at the Universität Innsbruck. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for managing internal and external IP projects, developing intellectual property rights and exploitation strategies, and supporting legal experts in drafting contracts.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Screening and evaluation of research results (technical developments, software, publications)
  • Management of internal and external IP projects with patent law firms, funding agencies, and companies
  • Development of intellectual property rights and exploitation strategies
  • Supporting legal experts in drafting contracts
  • Negotiation of contract terms regarding intellectual property
  • Preparation of training and information material and holding of training courses

Your Profile:

  • Completed scientific or technical master's or diploma degree, (ideally doctorate)
  • Experience in research
  • Experience in dealing with intellectual property is advantageous
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
  • Negotiation skills and commercial thinking
  • High communication skills and assertiveness
  • Presentation skills and ability to work in a team

For this position, a minimum gross salary of € 3.266 per month is stipulated in the collective agreement. Your actual starting salary will depend on your previous experience and will increase over the course of your employment.
