Senior Audio Recognition Project Manager

Red Bull is seeking a highly skilled Senior Audio Recognition Project Manager to join our innovative startup, MyGroove App. This role involves leading efforts in data management, testing, and continuous improvement of our pattern recognition systems.
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will drive key projects, working with both internal and external partners to optimize our AI models and ensure high-quality user experiences. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and a passion for music technology.
Main Responsibilities
• System Development: Lead improvements and design of audio recognition and pattern matching systems.
• Data Management: Oversee selection, annotation, and quality control of training and test data.
• Testing & QA: Coordinate testing workflows, identify bugs, and ensure model reliability across instruments.
• Collaboration: Manage communications and tasks with internal teams and external partners, including translation providers.
• User Experience: Develop user-centric features and optimize scoring and feedback to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
Requirements
This role requires:
• A passion for music, with expertise in audio recognition and pattern recognition.
• German (native) and English (fluent).
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with a focus on Machine Learning and AI.
• Proven experience in project management, especially in tech or AI-driven projects.
• Strong skills in data management, annotation processes, and quality control.
• Proficiency in testing workflows, QA, and bug identification.
• Solid understanding of music and audio analysis, including MIDI data and sound pattern recognition.
• Excellent analytical skills for interpreting data and optimizing models.
• Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external teams.
• Creative problem-solving abilities for complex technical challenges.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is approximately €2,229 gross per month, based on market-oriented salaries for similar roles in Austria. Our attractive compensation package offers a range above the stated minimum salary, reflecting our commitment to rewarding top talent.
