Sentry is committed to helping developers build better software, faster. As a Senior Software Engineer on our SDK team, you'll join a cross-functional group responsible for client-facing operations.

This includes building and maintaining our Go SDK and supporting the ecosystem surrounding it. You will help Sentry improve the quality of life of Go developers everywhere by building best-in-class application monitoring solutions.

You'll work with product and technical leaders to drive Sentry's Golang community growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Improving and evolving our Go SDK in the client infrastructure team.
  • Collaborating with maintainers of upstream packages to ensure seamless integration and high-quality code.
  • Writing unit and integration tests to guarantee the correctness of your work.
  • Creating strong documentation to educate peers and customers.
  • Working with product teams to ensure our product meets the needs of developers in the Golang ecosystem.
  • Assisting the Customer Operations team in resolving live customer issues.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer in application or library development.
  • 4+ years of professional experience working with Go.
  • Bonus points for experience with other programming languages and maintaining open-source libraries.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Living in Vienna (Austria) or willing to relocate.
